About a girl In 'about the girl' the short film suggests to the audience that the family hasn't got a lot of money this is told through how the girl mocks her mum saying "do I look like a fucking bank" and "not got enough to save for a piano", with these quotes we can say that they are lower class. We can tell throughout the Short that there is problems within the family as the parents are split up and the father doesn't want to live with his daughter and the daughter argues and hides a lot of things away from her mum. At the start of the story we are told about the girls personality and how she wants to be a singer, how her friends are and how she cares about how she is perceived by others. Then through the middle of the story we get told about her family, she talks about her dad first and how she doesn't get to spend much time with him but he makes her watch him play football and they go to the pub after.
